Consignors Drop Off
Over the years, Tot Trade Charlotte has continued to refine the check-in process to make it as streamlined and efficient as possible. By reading the information below and understanding how the process works, you will have a better understanding of what to expect at drop off.
Once you reach the Events Center, you will be directed to the check in station.
- You will DRIVE THROUGH DROP OFF where volunteers will assist you in removing your items from your car.
- Please make note of the table where your clothing items will be inspected.
- Please park your car and place any NON CLOTHING items out on the floor.
- Be sure to check back at your inspection table for any rejected items and we will see you at this season’s hottest Presale!
STEP 1: BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR ITEMS TO DROP-OFF
NOTE: Consignors will be responsible for helping to place their items (toys, accessories, mommy’s mart, etc.) on the sales floor. Children are welcome at drop off; however, please keep this in mind as you decide when to come and plan your time accordingly.
Please note Tot Trade volunteers will sort and place your clothing items on the floor.
- Register as a new or returning consignor.
- Please pay consignor fee to complete your registration process.
- Please review tagging instructions. To further clarify tagging instructions, Tot Trade has added both photos and a video.
- Hang and tag your items. Please be sure to group your clothing items by size and gender. (very important step)
- After you have tagged your items, please be sure to label each item with a sticker with your consignor number.
- To help ensure the return or sale of your item during the sale if your tag falls off, Tot Trade will feature a Consignor Corner. If you are shopping this season, we invite you to check the Consignor Corner for any of your items that may have lost their tags so we can get them back on the floor!) Tot Trade volunteers research items throughout the sale but this extra step could mean you sell more items! This is not a requirement, Tot Trade is offering this service as an additional way to keep down the number of lost tagged items!
- Plan to drop-off your items during our drop-off hours. (Please see this season’s schedule)
- If you have 100+ more items please make a scheduled appointment. Please note appointments are on a first come first serve basis. Once all appointments have been taken we will be unable to add additional times. We will be able to serve you at check –in; however your wait time may be longer.
- Before you come to drop-off, please make sure to print and sign a copy of the consignor agreement. This will expedite the drop-off process.
STEP 2: WHEN YOU GET TO THE SALE
- Please look for the Tot Trade Drop Off Signs.
- Please stay in your car and have your consignor agreement ready.
- Once you reach the check in station you will confirm you mailing address and will be given your Presale Passes and any final instructions.
- Finally, you will be directed to the appropriate check in line depending on if you have an appointment or not.
- All consignors should come with enough time to help put their toys, accessories and mommy’s mart items on the floor.
STEP 3: BEFORE YOU LEAVE
- Make sure you have your Consignor Presale armband. Wear this armband to the Presale when you come, as it is your "ticket" to get in!
